In this exciting musical theatre class, students will develop the three essential elements of musical theatre: acting, singing, and dancing. Through fun exercises, scene work, choreography, vocal performance, and ensemble activities, students will learn how to bring characters to life with confidence and authenticity.
A special emphasis will be placed on acting technique—learning how to tell a story, make strong character choices, and stay connected to the emotional journey of a scene while singing and dancing. Students will discover that great musical theatre is so much more than performing songs and choreography; it’s about using every performance skill to communicate a story.
Whether you’re new to the stage or looking to grow as a performer, this class provides a well-rounded foundation in theatre. The techniques explored throughout the semester will strengthen students not only in musical theatre but in all areas of performance, giving them tools they can carry into plays, musicals, auditions, and beyond.
